Authentic Teen ~ impromptu session {Puyallup Teen Photographer}

Sometimes you have to meet a teen where they are at in the moment… and that’s when you get the most authentic and real images during a teen session!  A special thank you to Miss H who graced my lens with beauty, real teen spirit and laughter.  We never left a 12×12 space and yet I ended up with dozens of wonderful images that will forever frameable treasures.  It’s important to remember our teens as they are in every stage of their life.  Sometimes we want to scream “put the phone down” (and we do)!  But then at the same time – it’s also important to document this time of their life because it’s part of who they are… right now, it’s a snapshot of this fleeting moment.

As a photographer, I sit back quietly sometimes and the teen forgets I’m around.  I capture the “selfie”, the quiet moment which because a portrait… but when I wait long enough… the laughter is sure to come!
